At Sift & Serif Design Studio, the beauty is in the detail. Creativity has no boundary and neither do our products. From cakes and home decor to books and experiences, creation is the key and inspiration is at the heart.
I was raised to believe happiness and design were one in the same and taught that creation was the greatest gift one could give. Watching my mom live out this mindset, I followed her lead. I admired the countless hours spent icing cakes and cherished our afternoons pressing flowers and sculpting clay figures.
While my dad wasn’t found baking in the kitchen or joining in the crafts, he was calling me outside to help him build. Frames, furniture, swingsets— he could do it all. And I was always made a part of his creation.
The artist in me knew to turn my passion into a career. After receiving a degree in Visual Communications, I spent two years in advertising and seven years as a Creative & Marketing Director. I wouldn’t trade what I learned throughout my career, but what I lost was a part of me too important to overlook. Sift + Serif Design Studio is a revival of my passion for design and creation. It’s the quitting of my day job to get back to what I love.

Sift & Serif combines a deliberate creative process with thoughtful finishing touches.

Following my mom’s footsteps, my passion for creating started in the kitchen. However, sift symbolizes more than just baking; it honors the creative process. It’s an act of seeking something rare and, if you’re lucky, finding something to be treasured.
• serif •
A finishing touch of a letterform, a serif further distinguishes a character for ease of translation. While just a subtle detail, the addition of a serif to a letterform symbolizes that less isn’t always more and that there is power in the finishing touches.
